Before we start, please ensure you SATISFY the following requirements:

- A PayPal account
- 1-3 digital photos of the item that you intend to sell

Step 1: Create an eBay Singapore Account (5 Mins)
Before you can sell on eBay SG, you must first register as an user by following the steps below:
a. On eBay Singapore‘s main page, click on the blue colour “register” link in the upper left-hand corner (next to the logo).
b. Next on the registration page, complete your personal information. You may like to take note of the following pointers:
- User ID – Choose a User ID that relates to what you are selling instead of your personal information (to protect your privacy).
For example: accessories_4_women_today or accessories_4_men2008
- Email address – Use an email address that you check frequently as questions from buyers as well as alerts from eBay SG will be sent to this email account
c. After clicking the “Register“, an activation email will be sent to the email address that you have provided
d. Login to your email account, open the email and click the “Activate Now” link to confirm your registration
Step 2: List Your Item for Sale on eBay Singapore (15 Mins)
a. Click on “Start selling” below “What would you like to do next?”
b. OR alternatively, click on “Sell” on the upper right-hand corner of any page
c. Input 3-5 words about the item that you are selling. For example: tote bags and click the “Start selling”
d. Select the most relevant category from the list of suggested categories and click “Continue >”
e. Title: Write a title that best describes what you are selling and use keywords that are relevant to the item. For example:
Authentic Pink ABC Bag
f. Condition: Select New or Used
g. Add pictures: Add the first 3 pictures for Free (OPTIONAL)
h. DO NOT check the box next to “Display a picture in search results to help buyers find your item” (OPTIONAL and Not Free)
i. Describe the item you’re selling: Provide a clear and accurate description of the item which includes Age, Brand, Condition, Features and Postage Details. For example:
This is a 1 month old Pink ABC Bag in excellent condition.
It is 100% authentic as it is purchased directly from ABC in the US. This bag is small thus perfect for a night out.
For Local Pickup: Self collect at Ang Mo Kio
For Mail: Please add SGD$x.xx for local mail & SGD$x.xx for local registered mail (Singapore Only)
j. Choose how you’d like to sell your item: Select Online Auction (bidding involved, you select the winning price) and input “Starting price” (leave “Buy It Now price” blank). For example: $0.99 usually yields the best result for bidding
OR Select Fixed Price (no bidding involved, buyer can purchase instantly at a set price) and input “Buy It Now price“. For example: $15.00 is the price that you are willing to sell immediately
k. Duration: If you can wait, select 7 days. Usually the longer the duration, the higher the price generated (10 days option is Not Free)
l. Decide how you’d like to be paid: PayPal is recommended for your protection. You can also accept bank deposits, cheque or cash-on-delivery (COD)
m. Give buyers postage details: Leave it blank (OPTIONAL)
n. Click the “Continue >”
o. Verify all the details are correct under “Preview your listing”
p. Review your fees: Make sure the Total is S$0.00
q. Click “Continue”
Step 3: Create an eBay Singapore Seller Account (5 Mins)
a. Pay seller fees with a credit card: Complete your credit card information (You will get to verify the “Total is S$0.00” again after you click “Continue”)
b. Click “Continue”
c. Complete Your Listing: Review your fees and make sure it is $ 0.00
d. Click “List your item”
Congratulations! You’ve just listed your first item for sale on eBay Singapore!
