How to Get Free SMS News Update?
Fancy having the latest Singapore news, deals, events and blog posts delivered to you by SMS for free? And Yes, I do mean absolutely ZERO charges! If you are a StarHub Mobile subscriber (pre-paid or post-paid), now you can. The following is how you setup this free SMS news update effortlessly and quickly – it takes about 5-10 minutes only.
Basically, we’ll be making use of the StarHub MobiTweet – free SMS (Twitter) tweeting service for this setup. It’s ok if you’re neither familiar with Twitter nor have an account with them.
Step 1: Visit StarHub MobiTweet and click on “Sign in with Twitter”

Step 2:
If you have a Twitter account, sign in (and skip to Step 4)
If you do not have a Twitter account, click on “Sign up and Join the Conversation”

Step 3: Complete the Twitter sign up form and click “Create my account”
Step 4: Click on “Allow”

Step 5:
Enter your StarHub mobile number and click “Submit”

Enter the One-Time Password and click “Activate” (note: DO NOT sign out)

Step 6: Visit http://twitter.com/dailysingapore and click the “Follow” button

Step 7: Visit StarHub MobiTweet again and click “Friend Selection”

Step 8: Check the box next to “dailysingapore” and click “Save >”

That’s all but you may have to wait for about a day before you start receiving SMS news in the following format:

Note: This free SMS news update will be available till 31st December 2010. Data charges apply if you click on the URL (for e.g. http://bit.ly/3o8YLg) found on the SMS.

Other than Starhub, is there other way to sign up and twits by singtel prepaid ?
