The WINGS & KK Hospital is offering a confinement lady/nanny training course in Singapore, designed to provide older women with the latest know-how and practical skills to operate as capable confinement ladies in Singapore. This course will be conducted in English and it will last for 5 days.

Upon successful completion of the 5-day training, participants will be awarded a certificate, and will be able to display practical and theoretical proficiency in all of the following:

• Complete baby care
• Breastfeeding techniques
• Healthy confinement cooking
• Prepare 20 common confinement meals and menu planning
• Understand and identify the herbs used in confinement cooking

Confinement Lady/Nanny Training Course Details

Date: 12th to 16th October 2009 (Monday to Friday)
Time: 9.00am to 5.00pm
Location: Women’s Initiative for Ageing Successfully (WINGS), 9 Bishan Place (Junction 8 Office Tower), #06-05, Singapore 579837
Course Fee: S$1,200 nett

Requirements:

• Women who are 40 years and above
• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Basic cooking skills
• WINGS member (WINGS membership is S$10/year)

Other Option – Thomson Medical Centre

Alternatively, you can consider Thomson Medical Centre’s hands-on confinement lady/nanny training course. It will be conducted in Chinese (Mandarin) and it will last 2 days. The course fee is S$300 but participants are required to serve a contract with TMC for a period of 3 years.
