Hi,
I have planned a visit to singapore in the first week of sept’09. With the ongoing H1N1 crisis, I need some advice whether I should cancel my visit or continue with my plan. I have visited the website http://www.flu.gov.sg but did not get any proper information for the visitors. Can anyone guide me ?
thanks and regards,
Abhijeet

@Abhijeet, you can read the travel advisory at http://app.crisis.gov.sg/InfluenzaA/Page.aspx?id=186. Based on personal observations, life is pretty much back to normal in Singapore. Unless you’ve an existing medical condition, I wouldn’t worry too much for visitors who are healthy.

@Mr/Ms Abhijit, I saw your req com, being an Indian in Singapore I can only tell you that Indian cities are more affected than Singapore main township areas. Here % is only 0.61 % and preventive measures and treatment are far better than in India. Cool… just carry some basic medicine and come enjoy the trip.

@Ihab, please refer to http://www.flu.gov.sg/ for the latest information. Other than news that the H1N1 (a.k.a. swine flu) vaccine is now available in Singapore , there aren’t any bad news reported by the local media about the flu.
